Die Schmitt-Gruppe stellt mit Hilfe der Neutralbrennerei Feinsprit, Rohalkohol und Neutralsprit her. Als Ausgangsstoffen nutzt man dazu Kartoffeln, Melasse, Getreide oder deren verarbeitete Folgeprodukte, wie z.B. Sirup oder Teig.
Der mehrstufige Destillations-, Veredelungs- und Abtrennungsprozess liefert einige von vielen Möglichkeiten für End- und Nebenprodukte.
Neben Pharmasprit, Neutralalkohol und Bioethanol lassen sich Fuselöle, Aldehyde und auch Produkte wie z.B. Dünger und Biogas aus der Schlempe gewinnen.

First, the alcohols contained in the mash, the starting product, are extracted and cleaned in a separate processing area to fuseel oils, aldehydes and other secondary alcohols.
The ethanol obtained is thus rectified and the concentration of the product is increased to the desired level.
